Give to the Music presents Phil Gayheart, of Dixieland Music Company in Weaverville Plaza, with a Washburn 12 String Acoustic guitar. Phil collects acoustic guitars for Guitars for Vets Inc., a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of ailing and injured military veterans by providing them with guitars and music instruction. Through self-expression and the healing power of music, it is their intent to restore the feeling of joy and purpose that can be lost after suffering trauma.
