Bill and Marilyn Haas had always been enthusiastic supporters of Rock Academy. When we let them in on our plan to create a nonprofit, to help children who wanted a music education but needed financial assistance to do so, they were elated and ready to help!
On October 30, 2010, our dear friend, Bill Haas passed away. Marilyn, taking her and Bill’s generosity a step further, asked friends and family to make donations to Give to the Music, in Bill’s memory.
Give to the Music was in its very beginning stages and the donations were instrumental to the organization’s roots. To keep Bill’s memory alive in us always, The Bill Haas Scholarship Foundation was born and every year one child will be selected, to carry the title of Bill Haas Scholarship Winner.
Thank you, Marilyn, William and Kenneth. Bill was a character…and now he is forever our hero! Salute!
